Children’s visit, 7-12 years old

This experience is a chance for young visitors to see what it was like to be a child in Roman times. From birth to adulthood when they become a Roman citizen, each child had a different story to tell as they grew up, played and learned, depending on their origins, age or gender This visit is an opportunity to see what school was like in Antiquity and to have a go at writing on a wax tablet, just like the children did back then! Then, there’s a practical activity during which participants will make a protective amulet that was traditionally given to Roman children.

  • Duration: 1.5 hours
