If the image of the witch is a product of modern times, it was in ancient Greece that magic was invented.

Through literature, painted vases, ancient jewels, and ritual objects, we will meet goddesses, such as Hera and Aphrodite, well-known female figures, such as Circe and Medea, and lesser- known ones, such as Dejanira and Simaitha, as well as unknown women, who probably made curse tablets in Greece and in Rome.
