This fascinating exhibition is devoted to Achilles, a legendary hero of Greek mythology who became famous for his bravery and courage during the Trojan War. The various items on display for this exhibition (mosaics, vases, sarcophagus, etc.) will guide visitors through the key moments in the life of this hero, from his birth to the city walls of Troy, not-to-mention his escape to Skyros island, and finally his death caused by a arrow to the heel. The story of Achilles’ life is closely linked to the Trojan War and so the exhibition also details the origins of this legendary battle. Visitors can learn all about this saga, detailed by Homer’s epic poem entitled Iliad, thanks to a selection of 100 exceptional pieces and a unique, monumental, digital fresco!
