Tour-workshop (7-12 year olds)

What did the Romans do for fun in Antiquity? Children will find out the answer to this question in a tour-workshop all about the games and activities of ancient Rome. This tour of the collections focuses on the games that have always appealed to both children and adults. Did you know for example that emperor Augustus was a keen dice player or that Caligula was a compulsive cheat? You’ll have the chance to play some of the games played by children in Gallo-Roman times! Games of chance, strategy or puzzles, which ones would you have spent your time playing 2,000 years ago?
